Seattle, WA - The Medicine Hat Tigers have run their current winning streak to eight games with a 3-1 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Tuesday night.

For the Tigers, it was also their third straight road victory on their current six game road trip.

Tigers forward Emerson Etem opened the scoring for the Tigers with his league leading fourth shorthanded goal of the season near the end of the 1st period.  Linemate Linden Vey drew the lone assist and now leads the league in shorthanded assists with four.  For Vey, it was also the eighth straight game that he recorded at least one point. 

After a scoreless 2nd period, The Tigers scored two more as rookie Hunter Shinkaruk and Matt Konan scored to give Medicine Hat a decisive 3-0 lead. 

A late goal via the penalty shot by Seattle was the only blemish for Tigers netminder Tyler Bunz (11-5-1-0) as the third year Tiger stopped 28 of 29 shots for his sixth straight victory.
