Portland, OR -The Medicine Hat Tigers kept their win streak alive with a dramatic 3-2 shootout victory over the league leading Portland Winterhawks.

The Tigers earned their seventh straight victory as rookie Hunter Shinkaruk scored the lone goal in the shootout to lift Medicine Hat to victory.

Tigers netminder Tyler Bunz (10-5-1-0) stopped 41 of 43 shots and all three Portland shooters in the shootout to preserve his fifth victory in his last five starts.

Medicine Hat opened the scoring as Linden Vey potted his team leading 18th goal of the season to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead through 20 minutes.

In the 2nd period after Portland had tied the game at 1-1, rugged Tigers' winger Cole Grbavac scored his fifth goal of the season to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead.  Before the period was out, however, Portland managed to tie the game heading into the 3rd period.

Tigers netminder Tyler Bunz took over in the third period, stopping eight Portland shots, while stopping eight more in overtime as the Winterhawks outshot the Tigers 8-0 in extra time.

The Tigers (16-7-1-0) now head back up the I-5 and will look to continue their winning ways as they faceoff against the Seattle Thunderbirds on Tuesday, November 30th Game time is 7:00 PM (PST) and can heard live on CHAT 94.5 FM at tigershockey.com or watched via webcast at livestream.whl.ca
