WIN TIGERS TICKETS...by helping to READ the Tigers to victory....Children aged 8-12 can win tickets to upcoming Tigers from November through March.  (One Adult ticket also provided -contest closes Feb. 28, 2009).

CIBC & the Tigers are pleased to provide a literacy initiative for school kids throughout Medicine Hat and surrounding area.

The program is geared towards Grade 3 - 6 students and it emphasizes the importance of reading, along with encouraging students to make a habit of reading at home.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

1.Pick-up entry cards, FREE Tigers/CIBC Bookmark and Team Schedule at the Medicine Hat Public Library located at 414 First Street SE, Medicine Hat.

2. Once students have read the required TWO (2) books, entries can be stapled together and dropped off at the MH Public Library.  Please include contact information (Name, Address and Phone number).

3. Names of winners will be drawn weekly starting November 1st,  2008 and will be contacted immediately. 

4. Tickets for the last game of the season (March 14, 2009) will be drawn on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 5:00 PM).

Any interested schools or parents looking to have their students / children involved in the program are encouraged to contact the Medicine Hat Public Library Children Services at (403) 502- 8526.

TIGERS IN THE COMMUNITY

This season,  the Medicine Hat Tigers will once again be out serving the community of Medicine Hat.  Keep watch on the home page and in the Tigers e-newsletter for the Tigers next community visit.

Below are few of the highlights for the 2008-09 Season:

  • MEDICINE HAT NEWS - SANTA CLAUS FUND - Every year, the Medicine Hat Tigers donate a number of food and gift hampers to the Santa Claus Fund and assist in the packing and delivering of the hampers to those in need. For photos CLICK HERE.

 

  • Teddy Bear Delivery - Members of the team visited the local children in the hospital to deliver Teddy Bears collected from the Teddy Bear Toss Game.  This year's game was held on November 29, 2008 as the Tigers took on the Brandon Wheat Kings.  Over 1800 Bears were collected along with numerous toques, gloves and scarves that will go to the Medicine Hat Hospital and the Salvation Army after Tigers forward Zdenek Okal scored the Tigers first goal.  The Medicine Hat Tigers and the Salvation Army of Medicine Hat want to thank all fans for their generous donations.   • United Way Gift Wrapping - Members of the Tigers volunteered to wrap gifts at the Medicine Hat Mall with all proceeds going to the United Way of Medicine Hat. Look for the Tigers to be up at the Medicin Hat Mall on Wednesday, December 3rd from 7-9PM.  For Photos CLICK HERE.

 

 

  • Big Brothers / Big Sisters - Skate with the Tigers Fundraiser - All donations raised at the annual Skate with the Tigers event go towards Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Medicine Hat.   This year's event was held on Sunday, November 30th from 2pm-3pm. MEDICINE HAT NEWS - SANTA CLAUS FUND

The Medicine Hat Tigers Hockey Club, once again, lent a helping to the Medicine Hat News - Santa Claus Fund.

Every year, the Medicine Hat Tigers donate a number of food and gift hampers to the Santa Claus Fund and assist in the packing and delivering of the hampers to those in need.

Members of the Medicine Hat Tigers were on hand at the Warehouse on Tuesday evening assisting volunteers pack hampers to be delivered on December 20th.

Teddy Bear Toss Delivery

Members of the Medicine Hat Tigers deliver stuffed Teddy Bears to the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Children's Ward.  Tigers Captain Tyler Ennis, Brennan Bosch, Matt McCue, Ryan Holfeld and Bretton Cameron brightened the spirits of many young hospitalized children.  Zdenek Okal scored the goal to trigger the annual tossing of the Teddy Bears to ice level.

All stuffed animanls, as well as, many more toques, scarves and gloves were donated by gracious Medicine Hat Tiger Fans with all donations benefiting the Salvation Army of Medicine Hat.

Wrapping Presents in support of United Way in Medicine Hat.

Members of the Tigers volunteered to wrap gifts at the Medicine Hat Mall with all proceeds going to the United Way of Medicine Hat. The Tigers were at the Medicin Hat Mall on Wednesday, December 3rd.  Thanks to all the fans who attended.
