Skate With the Tigers

Each year the Medicine Hat Tigers are active within the community with our “Skate with the Tigers” Program. The year presents two opportunities for kids, fans and adults to have a moment with their favorite Tiger players on the same ice they play on. Fans get autographs, play tag and sometimes challenge the players to races.

Tigers teamed up with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Medicine Hat for the first ever Skate with the Tigers at the Canalta Centre

The Tigers come together with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Medicine Hat and District to raise funds for their organization.  They have draws for some great prizes including a ceremonial puck drop! All proceeds have gone towards the organization, helping offset costs associated with operations.

This year the Big Brothers Big Sisters Skate with the Tigers took place on October 21st, 2015 with many young fans (and older fans) coming out for a skate with their favorite players!

The Tigers would like to thank Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Medicine Hat for another great event.

Medicine Hat also has a tradition with our fans and friends “overseas” so to speak as the Tigers head out to Ralston to entertain the British and Canadian Military personnel and their families.

Folks who have never skated or never seen hockey come out to meet the players, sign autographs and take pictures. The local ladies team the Ralston Devils, made up of women in the Ralston community who took up the game while living in Canada, also come out to support the event.  The community comes together for one night over the past 15 years to spread the joy to the small town.
